But, thank you for continuing to pray for us. Even if you don't know all of the details, God does! He has already gone before us in this and is providing in amazing ways. So, thank you all for continuing to lift us up.
And thank you for your patience with us as we navigate our way down this path and try to determine how much we are ready to share. I want to walk in joy and confidence, but I am also aware that this situation could end in a loss for us.
There is a very, very fine line between fear and guarding our hearts.
But, we have decided that there is one small detail that we are ready to share:
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!
We had the honor of being there for the ultrasound and Cindy let me announce the gender. It was the most amazing day for me. I was so overwhelmed, seeing that precious life moving and kicking. I am absolutely humbled by the opportunity to be her mom.
Um....do you know how hard it is to still buy gender neutral stuff now that I know it's a girl? Everywhere I turn there is another cute pink dress, bow or shoes that she just HAS to have!
We are beyond thrilled at the idea of having a daughter. We love her so much already!
And I can already see her daddy wrapped around her little finger!

congratulations!!!! I love that she already has multiple tutus, and her closet! SO much fun! I can't wait to see her all dressed up. I am so happy for your family!
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm thrilled for you! And yes, girl things are way too cute! And addictive!
ReplyDeleteGet ready because the girl clothing and accessories obsession doesn't stop...
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you ever need a shopping buddy ;)
OHMYGOODNESS I am SO excited for y'all. You are going to be the perfect mother of a girl. I can already picture her wardrobe. I totally save money on clothes because I have a boy. It just isn't the same.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for this baby girl! Your childless neighbor next door would be more than happy to help you with anything you need before her arrival and after she comes home, so you just let me know. Actually, is it okay if I live vicariously though you? I'm dying to buy baby clothes, but in the meantime maybe I can help you find clothes for baby girl Woolley :-)
ReplyDeleteYEAHHH!!! Oh, I was so thrilled to read this post! Thanks for sharing. All babies are blessings, but little girls are special. And yes, they get wrapped around their Daddy's fingers quick! Congratulations Wooley's!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! How exciting! You should know how I feel about having daughters! So much fun, especially the shopping part!!! If you want a gazillion bows, you need to take a trip over to Sam Moon. :)
ReplyDeleteYay, for girls! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!!!! Girls are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteI found your new blog after I lost track of the old one...I'm just a few months behind! So I caught myself up and can't say how happy I am to read this! CONGRATULATIONS!!
Yay for baby girls! Riley's room is that exact same color and I LOVE it. Different for a girl, but so great.
I commend you for being so open and honest- what courage. I don't think I ever could. (Brian's cousin has been going through very difficult fertility issues too and they have decided to asopt also. They are on my blog- The Williston's- in case you ever were interested in reading her story.)
I know I have never personally met you...but my heart lept for you when I read through all of this!
You will be a fantastic mother.
SOO exciting!! Oh my gosh, shopping for girl stuff is SO fun . .tutus never get old :) I am just so unbelievably happy for you and know what an amazing life this little girl is going to get to have with you!
